Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 first Day sale Hit 6.5 Million
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 could be the best online games in the history of first person shooter game. How not, the sequel to CoD game is able to sell 6.5 million units in the UK and the United States within the first 24 hours since its launch.
This figure broke the record for the previous CoD games, the Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2. Activision reveals they have been able to generate $400 million in one day, and this will surely continue.
"We believe the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the biggest launch in entertainment world, and we scored record sales of just two countries," said Bobby Kotick, CEO, Activision Blizzard, as reported by Tech Radar, Saturday (11/12/ 2011).
"In addition to Call of Duty, there was never any other entertainment franchises that are able to make a record for three consecutive years," he said.
"Even the success of CoD can only be rivaled by movies like Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings, which is the most successful entertainment of all time," said Kotick.
