The QFHD Resolution as 4K2K

What Is QFHD? In early 2008, Samsung revealed a proof-of-concept 82-inch LCD TV set capable of this resolution and LG has demonstrated an 84-inch display.

CMI has built a 27.84" 158 PPI QFHD IPS panel for medical displays since November 2010.

QFHD stands for Quad Full High Definition sometimes referred to as 4K2K is a display resolution of 3840×2160 pixels arranged in a 16:9 aspect ratio it’s exactly four times the resolution of 1080p. QFHD or Quad HD measures 3840 x 2160 pixels, and it’s a digital television format with the same widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio you are used to. QFHD is literally like stacking four (two-by-two) 1080p TVs together.

QFHD isn't quite 4K, but it still looked pretty amazing in person — leaves have never looked so much like leaves, models have never looked so much like people, that sort of thing. QFHD is better than 4K, it's 4 1080p streams, as opposed to 4Ks 4 720P streams!

Above is a comparison between 720p, 1080p and QFHD and 4K resolutions; we’ve also added the QXGA resolution of the 3rd generation iPad for good measure. credit: stuff-review.com, wiki.
