New information, reported by BGR on 05 23 2012; suggests that Microsoft will launch the full Microsoft Office Suite for the iPad in November. However, it also adds that Office will also be coming to Android tablets which wasn't mentioned in the original information.
Even though there are many applications which enable you to edit Office files the actual official application would be amazing. We expect it would have full compatibility and syncing with the desktop version of Office and would take working on your tablet to a new level.
One thing 3G is curious about is how Microsoft will price the application because if it is a full version that is identical in almost every way then surely it should be priced the same. That would put the price at around £50 if we take the Student edition as an example, which is far beyond your average application price.
The smart thing for Microsoft to do is to include the tablet version of Office inside selected premium versions of the desktop software, which would reduce the perceived price to consumers.
As soon as 3G gets any more news about Microsoft Office for tablets we'll let you know.
