Motorola RAZR i Android smartphone with 2GHz Intel processor unveiled

Motorola has released its latest Android smartphone the Motorola RAZR i. Packing a 4.3in screen into a chassis not much bigger than an iPhone 4S and with a superfast Intel processor, in two color designs -- white and black.

The RAZR i can also capture 10 camera shots in less than a second, something the RAZR M can’t claim. CNET reports that Motorola SVP Jim Wicks claims the RAZR i’s battery lasts slightly longer than its U.S. counterpart’s, which should bring a smile to the faces of Intel engineers; CPU power efficiency is a major advantage for ARM in the mobile arena.

Other specs include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage, and an 8-megapixel camera, likely the same underperforming lens found in the Razr i’s U.S. counterpart, the Razr M. The phone will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but will ultimately be upgradable the newest version of Android, Jelly Bean.

Available from October the Motorola RAZR i will be ranged in the UK, France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. Pricing hasn't yet been confirmed.
