Motorola has released its latest Android smartphone the Motorola RAZR i. Packing a 4.3in screen into a chassis not much bigger than an iPhone 4S and with a superfast Intel processor, in two color designs -- white and black.
The RAZR i can also capture 10 camera shots in less than a second, something the RAZR M can’t claim. CNET reports that Motorola SVP Jim Wicks claims the RAZR i’s battery lasts slightly longer than its U.S. counterpart’s, which should bring a smile to the faces of Intel engineers; CPU power efficiency is a major advantage for ARM in the mobile arena.
Other specs include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage, and an 8-megapixel camera, likely the same underperforming lens found in the Razr i’s U.S. counterpart, the Razr M. The phone will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but will ultimately be upgradable the newest version of Android, Jelly Bean.
Available from October the Motorola RAZR i will be ranged in the UK, France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. Pricing hasn't yet been confirmed.

Linux-based operating system for mobile devices Android no need virus security?
Team Google's Linux-based Android company that sells antivirus criticized, with claims that the Android, iOS, and the BlackBerry operating system will run without best antivirus software.
Google’s open source software team has come out in the open, criticizing firms selling antivirus software for Android and other mobile devices. The company has claimed that Android, iOS, and RIM Blackberry operating systems do not need antivirus software.
Chris Dibona, Program Manager of Google's open-source reacts to the news about the fragility of open-source software such as Android and Apple's iOS creations.
He clarified so beware of vendors trying to sell something that it says could protect the Android, BlackBerry, or iOS, because maybe it was just a hoax.
Although he did not mention any antivirus vendor company, the comments could be directed at Symantec, McAfee F-Secure, and Kaspersky.
Mobile operating system is not totally safe from attack, but rather than a PC, the system is still more secure.
Dibona went on to say that no phone is suffering from a virus problem as experienced Windows and some Mac software. Security breach that occurred was not too far because of the use of the sandbox model and the nature of the underlying kernel.
Software store by Google for Android OS devices reign — will soon overtake the App Store.
Google offers some of the most popular games and utilities for 33 cents on the occasion of crossing the threshold of 10 billion applications downloaded.
In the accompanying chart above we can see how it looked in the sales of Android Market applications. Downloading the application of the first billion took 21 months, and another 9 billion just 17 months. Currently downloading the application (paid and free) is the speed of one billion per month.
At this rate soon overtake the Android Market app store for iOS. Android Market after several difficult years in the end facing the people and can equal footing to compete with the App Store. The origins of app store on Android were not all roses, and for some still are not.
Android application developers do not earn them as much as their colleagues who write them on the IOS, and the Android Market, customers had to wait two years for adding a search function applications. This seems to be absurd for someone who knew, from what Google began to build his power. That which is not only to me the most is missing in the Android Market, it is clear the check which applications are designed for tablets, and the popularization of the payment system Google Wallet (until recently Checkout).

1. Download the custom ROM
XDA-Developers and download the Nexus S custom ROM (v2, “no need for wifi patch”).
Hit up XDA-Developers and download the Nexus S custom ROM (v2, “no need for wifi patch”). If you have a 4G Nexus S, you can download the appropriate custom ROM.
2. Root your phone and install ROM Manager
If you’re already using CyanogenMod (which hopefully you are), your phone will already be rooted and have ROM Manager installed.
The best way to do this is to follow a video guide, but googling for “how to root nexus s” works as well.
3. Make a backup!
Scroll down in ROM Manager and select “Backup Current ROM.” This will back up all of the system and app data on your phone — but not any data on your SD card, such as photos or music. This backup is saved on your phone’s SD card, in the “clockworkmod” directory — and once it’s done, you should copy this to your computer via USB. You will need this backup if you want to restore your phone to its pre-ICS state.
Installing ICS on your Nexus S should not affect the contents of your SD card.
Please bear in mind that installing this build of ICS will completely wipe out your installed apps.
4. Install Android 4 on your Nexus S
Now, from ROM Manager, hit “Install ROM from SD Card,” and surf to the zip file on your SD card (“ics-crespo-aosp-4.0.1-v2-unsigned.zip” or similar). Select “Wipe Data and Cache” and “Wipe Dalvik Cache” from the menu and press OK (see right).
ICS will now install. Your phone will reboot, and in about 60 seconds you’ll be greeted by Ice Cream Sandwich’s phone setup screens, and then some basic tutorials.
Welcome to Ice Cream Sandwich! This build is pre-rooted, so to revert to Gingerbread you will simply have to re-install ROM Manager and restore your backup.
