Google release Dead Sea Scrolls online library

More than six decades since the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls - and thousands of years after they were written - Israel on Tuesday put 5,000 images of the ancient biblical artifacts online in a partnership with Google.

Israeli officials said this is part of an attempt by the custodians of the celebrated manuscripts - often criticized for allowing them to be monopolized by small circles of scholars - to make them broadly available.

Google Drive will work with SDK external applications?

Google Drive, a new file storage service on the network by a company from Mountain View, is now almost officially announced, but the question remains - how much we can do with this space?

From Google Operating System:

Google Operating System has looked at the source code for Google Docs and found several mentions of an SDK in conjunction with Google Drive, including a mention of "google-apps.drive-sdk" and an SDK "open with" command. This isn't conclusive proof, but it suggests that you'll be able to open Google Drive files with other applications.

Google Drive is an important upgrade to Google Docs that will detach the online storage service from the Google Docs apps and will make it more useful by offering more free storage, syncing apps and integration with web apps developed by other companies.

The search team at Google has created a 2 minutes video that packs of all the useful stuff you can do on Google.com.

If Google can't make Google Voice Recognition hear different accents just like Siri, then and only then they have won over Siri.

And I just learned that you can drag images from the desktop and drop them on to the Google Images website and it will find similar images on the Internet – that’s much faster than using the “Browse” button.
