After a leaks of Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia finally announced its new flagship phone, the Nokia Lumia 920. It is Nokia’s first device to run Windows Phone 8 OS which features a host of improvements over Windows Phone 7.5. Nokia would have wished to introduce the first Windows Phone 8 device but Samsung beat it to the punch when it announced the Ativ S handset a few days ago at the IFA 2012 event.

The 4.5-inch screen on the Lumia 920 is curved just like the screen on the Lumia 900 but now it’s called PureMotion HD+ display with 1280 x 768 resolution. Nokia says it’s the best smartphone display innovation it has ever made with a resolution that’s better than HD resolution. It’s also said to be the brightest smartphone HD display from Nokia. This display even has a “Super Sensitive Touch” feature that allows functional use even when wearing gloves.

The Lumia 920’s internals sound impressive as well. It has a fast dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 CPU paired with 1GB RAM, 2,000mAh battery, NFC, 32GB internal storage, HSPA+ and LTE in select markets, and an 8.7-megapixel “PureView” camera. PureView here does not actually match the features of the Nokia PureView 808. It’s a dumbed down version but Nokia still assures us that this is still a good camera technology that deserves the PureView badge. It uses a “floating lens” that improves image stabilization and good low-light capabilities.

The Xperia SL will be available in black, pink, silver or white, but sadly it won’t be shipping with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean already installed.

Photos and Specs of the new upgraded Galaxy S II called the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus leaks on line.

The Galaxy S II Plus will reportedly feature a 4.5-inch AMOLED display and will run on a dual-core 1.5GHz Exynos CPU paired with 1GB of RAM. Built-in storage will be 16GB but expandable via microSD, and the handset will feature an 8-megapixel rear camera.

Samsung launches mobile phone with Windows Phone operating system. The GT-I8350 Smartphone otherwise named as the Samsung Omnia M. The smartphone will be available in Europe and Korea.

The Omnia M has 384MB of RAM, less than the 512MB found in most Windows Phones. The Lumia 610 has 256MB.

That's possible thanks to an update to Windows Phone 7.5, which can run in less memory than the previous version -- although developers may have to optimize their apps to run in just 256MB of RAM.

The Omnia M hardware specification also includes a 1GHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera and 4GB of storage. The Lumia 610 has 3.7-inch display, an 800MHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera and 8GB of storage.

The Omnia M is 10.5 millimeters thick and weighs 119 grams, compared to 12 millimeters and 131.5 grams for the Nokia device.

Since the specifications are so similar, the price of the two phones should be close, and the Lumia 610 is priced at €189 (US$244).Features:

Storage – The handset offers internal storage space of 4GB but it does not support microSD card.

Battery – The Omnia M is powered with a Li-ion battery with a capacity of 1500mAh.

Sony has just announced their first 4.0 ICS smartphone. Also they have announced with the launch of this phone they will be pushing out the ICS update to all their smartphones shortly.

Sony Xperia neo L features 4-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) display, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera, 512MB RAM, 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, 1GB of internal memory with microSD card support and a 1,500 mAh battery. As you can see the specs aren’t earth-shattering but these should be more than enough to run ICS.

The latest Android smartphone from Sony, the Xperia sola, takes the touch out of the touch screen – although we’re not yet sure how.

Today we release an Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) beta ROM, as a follow up to the previously released ICS alpha ROM. In line with our goal to support the open developer community, we want to give you the chance to try out our coming upgrade to ICS (Android™ 4.0) in this beta version.


While the ICS alpha ROM was an early preview, the ICS beta ROM have passed some certifications such as Modem type approval, and important functions like FM radio and GSM are turned on. However, additional certification and approval is needed before an official upgrade can be released. As previously communicated, we will upgrade all 2011 Xperia™ smartphones running on Android to ICS. Read more to find out what’s included in the beta ROM, and what other limitations apply.

Since we released the ICS alpha ROM, we have received many comments and suggestions on our ICS implementation. First images of a new HTC smartphone have emerge online and they are thought to be of the HTC Radiant.

The HTC Radiant is a new Windows smartphone that will be available on AT&T in the US.

According to the website Pocketnow HTC Radiant specs (with the 1.5GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM and definitely the same sized WVGA screen like on the Titan). Because of the LTE capability, the 1,600mAh battery on the Titan should definitely be improved on the Radiant in order to power both the radio and the huge 4.7-inch display.

The year ahead is when Microsoft would hope that Windows smartphones will start to gain market share and they'll be hoping HTC and other companies continue to embrace the Windows Phone platform.

Is extremely promising LT28at handset will be the first smartphone manufactured by Sony (already without Ericsson)? Bluetooth Special Interest Group has published a unknown family of specifications Xperia phone, codenamed LT28at.

Equipped with the Android smartphone is reportedly to have a screen size of 4.55 inches and a resolution of 720p and 4G capabilities.
The parts list also includes: 13-megapixel (rear camera and 720P-capable front-facing camera) cam with LED flash, video recording at 720p, two microphones, Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi operating in the 2.4 and 5GHz frequencies.

Dual-band 802.11 N Wi-Fi is supported, as are LTE, HSPA, and TD-SCDMA — which ensures that LT28AT play nicely with China’s cellular networks.

It’s also known that the Sony LT28AT is heading for the U.S., where it’ll ride on AT&T’s network. Horsepower isn’t mentioned in the Bluetooth SIG posting, but some sources are reporting that it’ll run a dual-core chip clocked at 1.5GHz — just like the Nozomi LT26i.
