The Xperia Arc S is revised version of the original Xperia Arc. Sony Ericsson has bumped up the processor to 1.4GHz and added 3D and 2D sweep panorama photography. Among other features would be similar with the original Xperia arc including 4.2-inch Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine (480 x 854 resolution pixels), 8.1-megapixel camera with Exmor R image sensor, 320MB internal storage and supports microSD card up to 32GB.

Plus, Sony Ericsson has also introduced Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited services to Xperia smartphones soon. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S comes in five colors, Pure White, Midnight Blue, Misty Silver, Gloss Black and Sakura Pink.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S Midnight Blue Features, Wifi Specs, Review

The Xperia Arc S offers a smaller chassis compared to the HD7S. It has a thickness of 8.7 mm, 22% smaller than the HD7S (11.2 mm).It is also lighter by 27% (117 grams vs 162 grams). The Xperia Arc S comes with a memory slot capable of supporting microSD up to 32GB whereas the HD7S does not have a memory slot. On the rear camera, the Xperia Arc S offers an 8-megapixel camera while the HD7S comes with a 5-megapixel camera. The Xperia Arc S processor is clocked at 1.4GHz while the HD7S only offers a 1.0GHz processor. Lastly, the Xperia Arc S also offers DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity whereas the HD7S does not support either one.

Design

According to cnet.com "There's no shortage of shiny black Android phones, but Sony Ericsson has once again worked its magic to make its design look fresh, clean, and interesting, and very Sony Ericsson in style. Worked entirely in plastic, the Xperia Arc nevertheless manages to keep from looking like a cheap toy. Sharp corners (perhaps a tad too sharp for some) combine with the illusion of contouring on the phone's thin, slightly flared sides to good effect."

The good: The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc has a slim, the body gorgeous build, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and 720p HD video capture.
The bad: Several buttons on the Xperia Arc are too small, and the unlocked price would be a prohibitively expense for most.
The bottom line: The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is a beautiful handset with some great features, but a high price tag and no network optimization leave few reasons to buy this unlocked Android phone.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc(midnight blue) price $364.00 to $379.99.

Sony Xperia Sola nabs “Floating Touch” Navigation

The latest Android smartphone from Sony, the Xperia sola, takes the touch out of the touch screen – although we’re not yet sure how.

Just like magic. Or click on a flick from Video Unlimited for blockbuster movies in super-high quality on the razor sharp Reality Display.

“Sony’s unique floating touch lets consumers navigate the web by hovering their finger above the screen so it acts like a moving curser, without actually having to touch the screen,” Sony claims, adding that the technology will evolve through “software updates and engagement with developers.”

Other than that, the device is a fairly standard Android 2.3 handset (upgradeable to Android 4.0 during summer 2012), with a 3.7” Reality Display, a 1 GHz dual-core CPU, NFC and Xperia SmartTags support, as well as “3D surround sound.”

The device should hit the market globally in three colors – black, white and red – in the second quarter of 2012.

Sony Xperia P – Tech Specs, Prices, Photos

Here's the Xperia P features, specification, prices, pictures and video. Sony wants each of its phone to be unique it looks very pretty.

Sony Xperia™ P is the latest addition to the Xperia™ NXT series of next generation smartphones from Sony. Xperia™ P offers an ultra-bright viewing experience thanks to the introduction of WhiteMagic™ screen technology, and comes with a 4" Reality Display housed in aluminium, unibody design for a sleek look and feel.

Xperia™ P also introduces the new ST-Ericsson U8500 platform, which provides a 1 GHz dual core processor with SMP technology for high-end performance. Plus, Xperia™ P gives you an 8MP capture camera, full 1080p HD recording & front camera, NFC, and a ton of other features.

The Xperia P is the first handset to include Sony’s WhiteMagic tech, which adds an extra white subpixel to each pixel on the screen, making for a horizontally-aligned RGBW pixel layout. for the less technically inclined, what this means is better screen visibility when outdoors. The difference compared to standard LCD and SuperAMOLED displays is quite striking -- the Xperia P's screen remains clear and usable even in very bright conditions.

On the inside, there’s a dual-core 1GHz ST-Ericsson NovaThor chip running the show, backed up by 1GB of RAM. We’ve already seen NovaThors in a couple of entry-level Android smartphones, and while it’s not the fastest dual-core chip around, it delivers plenty of horsepower for a phone like the Xperia P. As we already mentioned, there’s no removable storage to be found in the Xperia P, but the 16GB of on-board memory is a reasonable amount for this kind of device. It’s split into 2GB for apps and 11GB for media, with the rest being taken up by the OS. So overall it’s a reasonable hardware package, and a decent step up from the Xperia U, which offered 512MB of RAM and a dismal 4GB of non-expandable media storage.

Sony Xperia P Battery

The combination of a 1305mAh battery and Sony’s new super-bright display tech makes for battery life that’s decidedly average (though not entirely terrible). With our regular usage patterns consisting of web browsing, snapping a few photos, a little music playback and the occasional voice call, use we got 13-14 hours on the Xperia P before that battery warning light started to flash.

The Xperia P’s screen was the device’s biggest battery hog, as we noticed the phone’s longevity decreased rapidly the more we used it outdoors, forcing that brightness to crank up further. Fortunately there are two auto-brightness settings on the device -- one for max brightness, one for power saving. The bottom line is that Sony’s mid-range offering delivers battery life that’s generally acceptable, though if you’re a heavy user you may need to allow for a midday charge.

Sony Xperia P Camera

The Xperia P’s rear shooter produces great-looking 8MP shots in a wide range of conditions. Photo capture speeds aren’t the fastest we’ve seen on a phone by any means, but you can’t argue with the resulting images. Macro shots in particular are a strength of Sony’s 8MP EXMOR R camera, and the f/2.4 lens means it does reasonably well in low-light too, though the device does struggle to focus in such conditions.

Like other Xperia phones, the Xperia P supports 3D panoramic recording, though you'll need a 3D TV to play back content recorded in this phone.
