Fastest Internet Speed in the World is South Korea

Where the World's fastest internet provider is found? Accoring to Akamai. Between the first and second quarters of 2011, average global connection speed increased 21 percent and is now 2.6 Megabits per second. By comparison, Internet speeds in the United States (the world's 12th-ranked country) look fairly speedy at an average of 5.8 Mbps.

The slowest Internet, according to the study, is in the Congo, with an average of just 13 KBps, a speed that would make even a 1990s dial-up Internet user cringe. Most of the world’s slowest countries on Pando’s list are located in Africa, where broadband access is sparse and mobile is often the most prevalent point of access for users. However, we suspect that the data from some countries may have suffered from too small a sample size for an accurate reading.

Take a look at the world's top 10 countries with a fastest internet speed in the world plus nice landmark photos.

11 Remarkable Victories of Steve Jobs on Apple

Steve Jobs real named Steven Paul Jobs wowed us. The man is the Walt Disney of the technology space – funny, in a way, as he's also Disney's largest shareholder. Apple, Pixar, Disney – three technology icons synonymous with magic.

With Steve Jobs Apple’s rise to prominence in the past 15 years has been phenomenal. From being months from bankruptcy in the late 1990s, when Jobs returned, the company recently overtook Exxon Mobil despite high oil prices underpinning the energy giant’s valuation — to become the most valuable company in the US.

Here the Top List of Greatest Victories of Steven Paul Jobs on Apple Inc.

5. The iMac
The iMac, Steven Paul Jobs

10. Jobs Scolds Reporters
Jobs Scolds Reporters, Apple,
In summer 2010, Apple was buffeted by reports that the iPhone held in a "death grip" could interfere with its reception. Jobs called a press conference, announced a free "bumper" case to alleviate the problem, and took a few reporters to task in the process. Perhaps not the greatest public-relations move, but vintage Jobs.

11. Jobs Scolds Reporters
The iPad, Apple, Steve Jobs
The iPad is a line of tablet computers designed, developed and marketed by Apple Inc. primarily as a platform for audio-visual media including books, periodicals, movies, music, games, and web content.

Top 10 Major Changes of Facebook, you should know

Facebook is driven by a single, unique goal. Its priority isn’t to gain more users (it already has 750 million of those), nor does it feel compelled to find stupid ways to increase pageviews. Its primary goal right now isn’t to increase revenue, either that will come later.

Here’s a look at the changes to the News Feed that the social network already rolled out that have lots of users talking:

10: To customise your News Feed even more, you can use the Lists option. It is on the left hand menu. Add people to different Lists that already exist such as Close Friends or Family or create your own ones by selecting “More”. Then by clicking the List name, you’ll generate updates in your News Feed only from the people in that list.
Prepare Yourselves: Facebook To Be Profoundly Changed

9: If you’ve hidden posts, friends or other updates from your News Feed, you can call them back again by editing it. Click the pencil icon next to the words ‘News Feed’ in your left hand menu and then select Edit.

8: Top News and Most Recent are now combined as two separate elements in one News Feed. You simply scroll down to see the recent ones rather than clicking a button to make these appear in their own feed.

7: If you don’t want details of how you are using Apps to show up in the Ticker, go to Application Settings and click Only Me under the Customise menu.

6: Album Layout Last but not least, Facebook has made album design a bit more aesthetic. Albums that appear in your newsfeed stack three photos for a more creative viewing experience.

5:Ticker / Chat If you expand your chat sidebar (whether or not you're online), the ticker attaches to the top. That way, any page you navigate away from the home feed will still display real-time updates. Adjust chat/ticker proportions by hovering over the gray bar between chat and the ticker.

4:Hide Posts In the drop-down tab on the upper right of every post, you still have the option to hide posts (whether to delete the individual story or to hide that person's updates altogether). In the new version, you also have the option to mark a post as a top story, thus increasing the likelihood that that type of post or friend will appear in your Top Stories feed.

3:Recent Stories However, the new post notification bar doesn't refresh as often, but instead automatically expands new stories much like the older version.

2: New Posts Above your top stories you'll find the option to expand more recent posts, much like Twitter's "47 new tweets" real-time notification bar.

1:Top Stories Facebook's new design highlights posts that you'll likely find important, and prioritizes them at the top of your feed when you log in. The top stories are designated by a blue tag in the upper left corner of the post. From what we can see, however, top stories don't regenerate much throughout the day -- especially if you keep Facebook open in your browser like your Twitter ticker.

Top 10 Clever Features seen on iPhone 5

If you’re one of the millions of people who search out news, rumors, and opinions about the Apple iPhone 5 each month, then you know that new, clever features are constantly being thrown about in the rumor mill.

Normally, the tech websites and blogs will post an article that spells out some interesting new features that may or may not end up in the iPhone 5.

1. Change in Design:
Aluminum / Liquid metal back - It seems more and more probable that the iPhone 5 is back with a metal back. This, of course, is not a new feature, but the return to an old feature. But there is a possibility that Apple could use the "liquid metal," which is a kind of amorphous solid metal alloy that is quite strong, hard-wearing, and withstands thermal cycling. The other cool thing about the liquid metal is shaped like a plastic. Maybe the name is cooler than the feature itself, but could do with good design features while helping improve any antenna issues.
iPhone 5 Features, Top 10 Features that can Make iPhone 5 Invincible
2. Camera:
8 Megapixel Camera - iPhone users have wanted improved cameras for some time now, and Apple now seems ready to deliver. While the front-facing camera will probably remain lo-fi, the rear-facing camera on the iPhone 5 will most likely be upgraded to an 8 megapixel. The smartphone is expected to come with an improved flash unit for its camera. According to industry sources, Apple has reduced orders for iPhone 4's current LED flash. The iPhone 5 was expected to come with a dual LED flash with rumors that the flash unit will be separated from the camera sensor. It is also reported that its new panoramic imaging feature will allow instant panoramic shots with Apple’s stock photo app and that the device may also have the ability to record 1080p high definition videos.

3. Battery Life:
Removable Battery/Improved Battery Life - iPhone users have complained about the lack of replaceable battery on the iPhone design. And others have complained about the durability of the battery itself. But truth be told, Apple has done wonders to battery technology over the past few years with its impressive array of LiON batteries for their MacBooks, iPad, and beyond. It is doubtful that improving battery technology yet again will be a big priority for the iPhone 5 designers.

4. Dual Core Processor:
With most of the Android phones coming with dual-core processor, it is likely that iPhone 5 will also come equipped with dual-core processor. Though there is no report about the specs yet, most rumors suggest that iPhone 5 may carry iPad 2’s A5 1GHz processor.

5. Display:
3D Display and Camera - There’s no doubt that 3D technology has risen meteorically over the past couple years, with movies like Avatar, devices like the Nintendo DS, and now 3D digital television moving into mainstream use, in spite of some of the questions that remain about the safety of the technology. Apple has some patents both for a 3D display (similar to the Nintendo DS), but also for a 3D camera, which would be pretty groundbreaking. The 3D angle is definitely the kind of thing that could come from nowhere for the iPhone 5.

6. Keyboard:
Rumors of a slide-out keyboard for the iPhone 5 are polarizing for iPhone users: some love the prospect of having the option of a slide out keyboard, while others think it defeats the whole purpose of the iPhone being a touchscreen-driven design. Because Steve Jobs has pointedly poo-poo’ed the slide-out keyboard on smartphones in the past, it is unlikely. But there’s always an outside chance that the iPhone 5 could sport a dual touch screen, such as the new Kyrocera Echo.

7. Antenna:
A return to the internal antenna will also be less of a new feature and more of a “fix” to the iPhone 4′s antenna problem. Apple will be hard-pressed on how to “sell” the return to the internal antenna on the iPhone 5 after downplaying antennagate. If it comes to pass, it should be interesting, which is why I’m giving it one extra point of coolness.

8. USB:
USB 3.0/Thunderbolt - Kind of a big complaint for the iPhone is its lack of USB and connectivity. Some believe that the iPhone 5 could usher in new connectivity technologies alla USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt. While it may not seem like an outrageously exciting prospect, connectivity is really an unsung hero of great mobile technology, so let’s hope for it.

9.Storage:
64GB of Cloud Storage - Increasing the storage capacity for the iPhone 5 might be finally coming true, as fresh reports indicate that Apple has bought “petrabytes and petrabytes” of storage that would ostensibly support some kind of cloud-based storage solution for iPhone 5 users. Rarely do we have physical evidence to support a rumor, but seeing as Apple is investing in cloud storage, this rumor is looking brighter and brighter.

10. RAM:
2GB of RAM - There had been early rumors that Apple might double the iPhone 5′s RAM capacity from the 512 MB in the current iPhone to two gigabytes of RAM for the iPhone 5 as an accompaniment to the A5 chip and iOS 5. That would indeed be a welcome addition, but I have not heard much from the supplier side of the rumor mill to suggest that 2GB of RAM will materialize on the iPhone 5.

Additional:
A5 Chip and iOS 5 - It sort of goes without saying that both of these new developments will show up on the iPhone 5. Because we’ve already seen the A5 chipset in the iPad 2, it is a foregone conclusion that we’ll see it on the next iPhone.

AirSync - AirSync may not be the most exciting topic of conversation about the iPhone 5, but it is one of those features that could very well find its way onto the next iPhone. With more and more areas of mobile technology going wireless, the prospect of being able to sync without docking is very exciting indeed, and could free up the iPhone 5 to be more compatible in the area of connectivity. I see AirSynch as a dark horse feature for the iPhone 5, and one that people will be much more excited about than they currently realize.

HDMI Output Capability - HDMI output was a recent addition to the iPad 2, and it should be welcomed by HD enthusiasts and iPhone users alike, since it indicates that Apple is moving in the right direction of making its mobile devices more connectable. Because we’ve seen the addition of HDMI on the iPad 2, it is likely that it will show up on the iPhone 5 as well. Image source Google

Top 6 Current Technologies with Impressive Output

Everyone starts looks for our future the next one and there will no doubt be an upsurge of news predicting the web trends of 2011 in the next days to come.

In next 20 years our technology will reach a level of personalization that will enhance every moment of our lives. We’ll be more physically comfortable with the furniture we sit on and the products we hold; only the most relevant and personalized information from friends and family will reach us.

Here the list of Current Technologies that Will Shape-will Our Future.

1. Cloud Computing
Top 6 Current Technologies with Impressive Output

The two most notable exceptions are Google and Apple. Google Docs is arguably the first cloud-based app that gained mainstream traction. Apple’s iCloud looks like it has the potential to cross the chasm and move the early majority into the cloud. With tomorrow’s cloud computing, all of our personal information and the applications will be available to us at any time.

2. Smart Phone
smartphones htc
Smart-phones, like today’s iPhone, are as much a computer as they are a communication device. Besides having a great multi-touch interface and fast CPU, they contain sensors like cameras, gyros, accelerometers, GPS and compasses. They allow us to calculate and communicate anytime, anywhere.

3. 2. 3G and 4G Wireless Broadband
2. 3G and 4G Wireless Broadband

The deployment of today’s cell towers is a slow, deliberate and costly affair. In the future, deployment will be faster and more organic. Wireless providers will likely credit homeowners’ monthly bills for having devices like AT&T’s 3G MicroCell at home. With enough of these devices in place, even remote neighborhoods and towns will enjoy solid wireless access to the cloud.

4. Social Networking

Social networking as it exists today on Facebook and Twitter requires users to do extra work to extract value. We must diligently manage our community of friends and followers, and weed through all the tweets and posts for those that pique our interest. In the future, the management of our network will be dynamic and automated; the system will make and break connections to ensure maximum value.

5. CAD, 3D Printing & Custom Products
CAD, 3D Printing & Custom Products

Computer-aided design (CAD) products are popular among engineers, designers and students for creating 3D product designs. But the software is often too advanced for the average consumer to design his or her own products.

3D Printing (3DP), like that from Dimension, is another amazing technology that will take a 3D CAD model and “print” layers of material, one on top of the previous, to produce a real physical model. It can create almost any shape, even those that can’t be made by traditional manufacturing.

6. Kinect’s motion/voice technology

Kinect (originally known by the code name Project Natal), is a motion sensing input device by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game console. Based around a webcam-style add-on peripheral for the Xbox 360 console, it enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller, through a natural user interface using gestures and spoken commands.
